Beyond the festivities, this event is about community building, historical acknowledgment, and strengthening our community. While Cinco de Mayo is often misunderstood, we’re reclaiming its true meaning: the resilience of Mexican forces at the Battle of Puebla and what that symbolizes for our communities today.

Cultural learning moments that go beyond the surface
Music, dance, storytelling & salsa classes
A shared goal to raise $3,500 for future LatinoLEAD programming

1:00 PM – Event Opens: Welcome Remarks from North House, LatinoLEAD, and Consulado de México
2:00 PM – Cultural Learning Moment: History of Cinco de Mayo
2:30 – Vendor Time: Shop and connect with local Latine-owned business
3:45 PM – Vendor Spotlight & Happy Hour: Hear from 3 featured Latine entrepreneurs
5:00 PM – Salsa Class: Dance session led by North House
