LatinoLEAD Education Action Team Summer Celebration



At LatinoLEAD, we are advocating for systemic changes to close gaps for our community with a strong focus on education. We believe that all students and families deserve a quality education and that investment in schools, students, and teacher support and development should be a priority. 


According to Unidos US report, "Latino Students and English Learner Fast Facts 2020," there are over 13 million Latine students and 5 million English Learners in our nation's public schools. We collectively believe that the academic success of Latine students and English Learners is crucial to our future, not only for their well-being but also for the borader prosperity of Minnesota and our nation. 


We are thrilled to invite you to LatinoLEAD's Education Action Team (E.A.T.) Celebration, "Closing the Gap for Latine Students: The Critical Role of Multilingualism & Investment in English Language Learning." This event is a fantastic opportunity to laern about E.A.T., connect with amazing education leaders, and look forward to our shared future together! Don't miss this opportunity to meet and connect with out special guest former Representative Carlos Mariani Rosa. 


WHEN: Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm CST

WHERE: Metro State University Library and Learning Center, 645 E 7th St, St Paul, MN 55106, Room 302 

PARKING: There is a free 2-hour limit parking lot right next to the building.  

DIRECTIONS: Once you enter the library, you can follow the signs to the meeting location on the third floor. 

SPECIAL GUEST: Carlos Mariani Rosa, Executive Director of MN Education Equity Partnership (Former State Representative)

  • 6:30pm-7:00pm: Community building & EAT networking
