LatinoLEAD’s Post-Election Reflections

As the nation concludes another election cycle, we recognize this moment as part of a much larger journey. It’s a time for community reflection, healing, and a time to renew our commitment to the work that still lies ahead. This election has highlighted our community’s strength, its diversity, and the understanding that civic engagement isn’t a one-time event, but rather a lifelong commitment to progress and equity.

Our Commitment: At LatinoLEAD, we honor the resilience of nuestra comunidad and reaffirm our commitment to building a brighter future for all Minnesotans. We urge you to stay engaged as active participants of our democratic process. Voting is just one way we make our voices heard. We believe that true power lies in what we do beyond the ballot box—holding leaders accountable, advocating for our values, and working together in solidarity to bring about the change we envision.

“Our commitment to positive and transformational change remains unwavering. We stand firmly against xenophobia, racism, homophobia, anti-Latine, anti-immigrant sentiment, and all forms of discrimination. We know that supporting one another and embracing our collective strength will drive us toward a more inclusive future.” – Irma Márquez Trapero, CEO of LatinoLEAD.

Our Call to Action: Now, more than ever, we encourage each of you to join us! We invite you to be an active participant in community groups, to stand up for what matters by getting involved in local advocacy efforts, to invest in your leadership, and to prioritize your mental health and wellness. With solidarity, compassion, and courage, we will continue to create spaces where all of us can thrive. Let us move forward with strength, pride, and a steadfast commitment to dignity and unity.

En Solidaridad y Unidad,

LatinoLEAD Team
