As LatinoLEAD members work together to advance our collective influence, success and power, there are many organizations we can draw upon, and support.

American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE)
AAHHE is an agent of change for improving education, thus enabling Hispanic students to fully participate in a diverse society. AAHHE works collaboratively with all sectors of education, business, industry, as well as community and professional organizations to enhance the educational aspirations and to meet the needs of a significantly increasing Hispanic population.

Asamblea de Derechos Civiles
La Asamblea de Derechos Civiles is a statewide, faith-based non-profit organization which organizes immigrants from predominantly Latino congregations to build power for changes in the immigration system and the underlying political and economic structures behind it.

Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA)
ALPFA  is the longest standing Latino organization with 72,000+ members assembled in 43 professional and more than 150 student chapters across America. Our vision is to be the premier business organization for expanding opportunities for Latino leadership in the global market.

Centro – Supporting the Latino Family for a Better Future
Centro’s mission is “to contribute to the well-being and full participation of Latinos through education and family engagement.”

Hacer – Hispanic Advocacy and Community Empowerment through Research
Hacer delivers quality research that strengthens the Latino families of Minnesota.

Latino Chamber of Commerce of Minnesota
A 501(c)6 Nonprofit that works to empower economic growth of Latino businesses in Minnesota. The chamber is member driven and supported, and serves as a bridge between Latino businesses and the greater community.

The Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC)
LEDC is a statewide membership-based nonprofit organization whose mission is “to transform our community by creating economic opportunity for Latinos.”

Minnesota COMPASS
Minnesota Compass is a social indicators project that measures progress in our state, its seven regions, 87 counties and larger cities. Compass tracks trends in topic areas such as education, economy and workforce, health, housing, public safety, and a host of others.

Minnesota Council on Latino Affairs
MCLA is a state agency that advises the government on matters of interest to Latinos who live in Minnesota. It is a bridge of communication and collaboration between Latinos and the government, the private sector and nonprofits. MCLA monitors proposed legislation and policy initiatives, and analyzes and assesses any impact on Latino populations

MnEEP – Minnesota Education Equity Partnership
MnEEP Minnesota’s leading education race equity organization and voice for race equity in education in Minnesota.

Minnesota Hispanic Bar Association (MHBA)
The MHBA is a non-profit association founded in 1991 and dedicated to advancing the interests of Hispanic attorneys and law students in Minnesota. The MHBA has approximately 200 members representing all sectors of the legal community, including judges, attorneys, law students and other legal professionals.

Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAc)
MIRAc is an organization that organizes the immigrant community and their allies to try to win legalization for all and equality in all aspects of life.

Minnesota Mesa Latina
ML is a movement that seeks to build a better future for Latinos who live in Minnesota through personal and collective empowerment.

National Society of Hispanic MBAs – Minneapolis St. Paul Chapter (MSHMBA)
The National Society of Hispanic MBAs is the premier Hispanic business organization dedicated to building and advancing Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development.

New American Leaders Project (NALP)
The New American Leaders Project is the only national nonpartisan organization specifically focused on preparing first- and second-generation immigrants for civic leadership.

Nexus Community Partners
As a St. Paul-based organization, Nexus Community Partners builds more engaged and powerful communities of color by supporting community-building initiatives that expand community assets and foster social and human capital.

Pew Research Center – Hispanic Trends
Pew Research Center is a nonpartisan fact tank that informs the public about the issues, attitudes and trends shaping America and the world. We conduct public opinion polling, demographic research, content analysis and other data-driven social science research. We do not take policy positions.

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers is the leading national organization aimed at motivating Hispanics to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

Twin Cities Business Peer Network
Co-founded in 2008 by Luis Moreno, TCBPN is a network of business peers in the Twin Cities who commit to support and help students and colleagues to grow personally and professionally.

Women Entrepreneurs of Minnesota (WeMN) is a nonprofit organization co-founded by Amalia Moreno-Damgaard with the mission to provide personal, professional, and business growth opportunities for entrepreneurial-spirited women leaders through networking, mentorship, and education.
